Can I book my own flight and accommodation?

Yes. You are welcome to make your own flight and accommodation arrangements. However, we strongly recommend that you stay in one of our affiliate hotels. The simple reason is our concern for your safety. We have personally selected our affiliate hotels based upon their proximity to the hospitals, reputation for customer service, safety, amenities, and convenience. If you're not familiar with the destination, you may end up in an unsafe area or in a hotel that doesn't live up to the same standards.

When you book your flights with us, if you need to make any changes to your itinerary, your health travel manager will take care of all the work for you, even contacting your family back home to inform them of your changes.

Prior to departure, you'll be given all the necessary contact numbers including your health travel manager and your personal health travel assistant. You will receive a mobile phone at your destination to use throughout your stay, programmed with all the most important phone numbers. You'll also be able to reach Global Health Travel through our website, email or direct phone line.

How far in advance should I book?

Going overseas for medical treatment is a big decision. We recommend you book at least 3-6 months ahead to allow plenty of time for research, to make sure you can be treated by your preferred doctor, and to take advantages of the best prices on travel.

If you need to travel urgently, however, we can arrange your health travel with as little as 14 days' notice.

If you decide for any reason not to go ahead with your procedure after visiting the hospital and meeting your doctor, you are not obliged to proceed unless you feel 100% confident. You can cancel at any time without incurring a financial penalty.

Yes! If you don't have a companion to travel with, we offer group tours that enable you to share your experience with others. Please contact us for more information.

Destinations in our network include Thailand, India, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and the Philippines. In selecting these destinations, we took several factors into consideration. First and foremost, we selected countries with the most experience and highest quality in the global medical tourism sector. Next we selected countries that are investing immense resources into building up their medical tourism infrastructure. This means that in addition to their healthcare facilities and technology, they have built advanced transportation and communications systems. Then we reviewed their healthcare standards, professionalism, and the quality of their doctors.

7. Should I bring someone with me?

We highly recommend our clients take a companion with them. You will pay extra for their flight, meals and other leisure expenses, but there is no additional fee from us. They can stay in the same hotel room at no extra charge. It can be very daunting travelling to a foreign country. so having a familiar and trusted person with you to support you makes your health travel experience all the more enjoyable. You will still receive your personal health travel assistant who will make your trip successful and stress free.

8. Will I have trouble communicating with doctors and surgeons?

Will I have trouble communicating with doctors and surgeons?

Definitely not. English is widely spoken around the hospitals and your chosen doctor and surgeon will be fluent in English. This includes nurses, medical and customer service staff. Your personal health travel assistant will also act as an interpreter.

You might be surprised to discover that you receive more care and attention at medical tourism hospitals than you would in a hospital back home.  Many medical tourism facilities invest heavily in personalised care.
